VentureSpur was featured this month in an article in the Business Times magazine, a publication of the Edmond Sun.
Highlights included an interview with VentureSpur Managing Director, Kraettli L. Epperson, and with Devan Twyman, CEO of VentureSpur Fund I company, RaiseMore.
From the article’s interview with Twyman:
“We were part of their first accelerator program class,” said Devan Twyman, CEO of RaiseMore.
“It was perfect timing for us to apply for this program because we had just successfully executed our first client that had a national fundraising event in June. The founders of VentureSpur were people I respected, trusted and wanted to learn from. It seemed like a great fit. The mentors that they had are current entrepreneurs here in Oklahoma City who at one time had been in my same shoes. I thought it would be a valuable experience and the right direction for our company.”
Twyman said participating in the accelerator program has been beneficial.
“It was a great experience,” she said. “It was a really quick 12-weeks. If there was one valuable take-away from being in the accelerator program it is the mentors who were part of the program. Each company was assigned about four to five mentors. It was really nice to learn from their real-world experience.”
