RevTech – Retail Technology Ventures, a Dallas-based seed fund and venture accelerator, announced the companies participating in this year’s cohort. After a carefully crafted vetting process, RevTech selected four outstanding companies that exhibit both strong entrepreneurial experience and ability to solve retail’s biggest challenges.

The selected companies will participate in a 12-week program to take full advantage of RevTech’s mentor network and industry resources. RevTech’s workspace creates a robust co-working community that drives industry engagement and collaborative problem-solving.

The strong market response to this cohort’s respective solutions continues to impress me. I look forward to supporting these companies throughout and beyond this program,” states Jonathan Fine, VP of Business Development for RevTech

Each week of the program, the companies participate in mentor-led workshops on refining go-to-market strategy, gaining customer connections, and crafting their pitches. Companies will conclude the program with the opportunity to pitch at RevTech’s Fall Tech Trends event.

The 2018 cohort includes: Vessel, Xenio, GuestX, and Engagement Agents.

Vessel, Dallas, TX – Vessel drives engagement and increases revenue for digital content publishers. Focused on the lifestyle and travel space, Vessel leverages influencer-generated visual content to drive engagement. The backend dashboard allows the user to manage and analyze their campaign performance. The mobile app allows real-time content creation and the potential for undying editorial. (

Xenio, San Francisco, CA  – Xenio’s precision, real-time indoor positioning levels the playing field for physical stores by enabling brick & mortar retailers to precisely track the shoppers’ real-time behavior, tied to their profile, within the store. Shopper stats including dwell, traffic and even velocity allow retailers to engage with customers at the right place, and at the right time via new services such as on-demand concierge and turn-by-turn navigation. Retailers can also enjoy brick & mortar marketing attribution that is on par with traditional online capabilities. (

GuestX, Dallas, TX – In any tourism market, every provider of entertainment, lodging, food, or experience is alone, operating in a silo with separate tools, trying to get their share-of-wallet in their “one shot” at the customer. GuestX has engineered a proven market ecosystem for all “things to do” whereby all the businesses can be found and can work together to sell more to each customer via bundling and a comprehensive point-of-sale experience. Attractions only need to join their local GuestX ecosystem. The technologies we offer can be employed by attraction/event venues to run their business fully or partially. Attractions can choose to use our advanced tools to improve operations, revenue, marketing and their relationship with their guest – or they can simply opt-in to letting others sell their ticket. It’s more revenue either way on one, seamless platform. Any tourism-related business using our platform has proven to improve revenue. GuestX offers incredibly favorable B2B pricing plans for its SAAS products to maximize each participating business’ results. (

Engagement Agents, Hamilton, Ontario – Every shopping centre promotes their retailers’ marketing campaigns to millions of consumers via their mobile site, website, social media, email list, app, events and in-mall digital signage to drive impressions, traffic & sales to the shopping centre and its retailers. Every retailer significantly pays for these opportunities within their lease agreements, however 90% of retailers do not engage their shopping centres’ digital & physical marketing channels which they already pay for.  This results in many problems including lost traffic and sales. Engagement Agents promptly solves these problems for retailers and shopping centres; helping them reclaim a significant amount of lost traffic & sales. As a result, we also save both parties a significant amount of time, money and resources. (
