Mike Merrill is a Digital Strategist and Sr. Enterprise Account Executive at Salesforce Marketing Cloud, the world’s leading digital platform for marketers. In his role he helps retailers, restaurants and convenience stores build next generation digital and social solutions including email, mobile, marketing automation and personalization solutions.
He’s a keynote speaker and recently completed his first TEDx talk. Mike’s social media and marketing expertise makes him much in demand as a guest on television news programs and as a regular speaker at industry conferences such at SXSW, Dallas Digital Summit, Social Strategies Summit, Explore by Jason Falls, and various other private events as a Keynote speaker. Mike’s passion for social media and word-of-mouth community building led him to launch the Social Media Club of Dallas in September of 2009.
Prior to Salesforce, Mike served as Director of Marketing for ReachLocal where he staffed and built out the social media, content and industry marketing team. As a consultant helped build out numerous content marketing and social media strategies for clients.
He has held sales roles at NetApp and Dell, ran marketing for higher education at Dell and worked at two venture-backed startups in product marketing and management.
Mike serves on the marketing advisory board for the UT Dallas Jindal School of Management. He pursued his MBA at the Ross Business School at the University of Michigan and holds undergraduate degrees in Finance and Accounting from New Mexico State University.
